So, I have gone through all the SDGs...finally! Although it was just a compilation of facts and numbers, mission statements, targets and progresses for each goal (and yes most of them are just quoted from the UN's websites), it was still great to know the overview, basic facts and interlinks among SDGs.

SDGs Goal 13 is "Climate Action" - Take urgent action to combat climate change and its impacts

SDGs Goal 16 is "Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions" - Ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages

SDGs Goal 17 is "Partnerships for the Goals" - Strengthen the means of implementation and revitalize the global partnership for sustainable development

SDGs Goal 14 is "Life Below Water" - Conserve and sustainably use the oceans, seas and marine resources for sustainable development

SDGs Goal 10 is "Reduced Inequality" - Reduce inequality within and among countries

SDGs Goal 9 is "Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure" - Build resilient infrastructure, promote inclusive and sustainable industrialization and foster innovation

SDGs Goal 8 is "Decent Work and Economic Growth" - Promote sustained, inclusive and sustainable economic growth, full and productive employment and decent work for all

SDGs Goal 6 is "Clean Water and Sanitation" - Ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages

SDGs Goal 5 is "Gender Equality" - Achieve gender equality and empower all women and girls

SDGs Goal 7 is "Affordable and Clean Energy" - Ensure access to affordable, reliable, sustainable and modern energy

SDGs Goal 12 is "Responsible Consumption and Production" - Ensure sustainable consumption and production patterns

SDGs Goal 11 is "Sustainable Cities and Communities" - Make cities and human settlements inclusive, safe, resilient and sustainable

SDGs Goal 15 is "Life on Land" - Protect, restore and promote sustainable use of terrestrial ecosystems, sustainably manage forests, combat desertification, and halt and reverse land degradation and halt biodiversity loss

SDGs Goal 4 is "Quality Education" - Ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all

SDGs Goal 3 is "Good Health and Well-Being" - Ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages

SDGs Goal 2 is "Zero Hunger" - End hunger, achieve food security and improved nutrition and promote sustainable agriculture

SDGs Goal 1 is "No Poverty" - End poverty in all its forms everywhere

Sustainable development has been in the centre of my career interests since my undergrad. I have been working on this big theme from agricultural perspetive and would like to re-think this to overview my research interests and surounding topics. This post is an introductory and summarising one for a series of relevant posts (hopefully coming more frequently!).
